The Daily Agenda is Mike Merrill’s public day sheet: a headline and a few bullets, published most mornings, saying what he is actually working on that day. This is the page to check when you want to know what Mike is doing today, or what he was up to earlier in the week. It is written for KmikeyM shareholders, runs newest first, and carries a rolling seven days.
If there is no entry for today, none has been published yet. Nothing here is backfilled, guessed, or carried forward from an earlier day. A missing day means the day’s agenda was never set, which is itself worth knowing.
2026-08-24: Volunteer hours at the museum
- Late start today.
- Volunteering at the Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment in Oakland tonight, at their weekly volunteer meeting.
- Real dinner and an early night.
Yesterday:
- Set a rule for how my systems get built: fewer AI parts, more deterministic ones. Every step starts as a human and an AI doing it by hand, then the mechanical half becomes code.
- Mapped the pipeline that pushes my work out to social. It’s been dead 26 days. Nobody had defined where the material comes from.
- One of my agents published two wrong attributions and caught it an hour later. It was reading reposts as original posts.
- Consolidated my military discharge records onto one page. They’d been in two places and had already started disagreeing.
2026-08-23: San Francisco, and planning the week ahead
- Meeting up with Andrew, Ritchey, and Steve in San Francisco.
- Working on a diagram and a plan for automated reporting through my social channels.
- The weekly finance audit.
- Watching Aaron’s live stream.
- Prepping the last Summit gift bags to go in the mail tomorrow.
- Expanding the wiki.
- Planning the coming week with Peretz.
Yesterday:
- The page you are reading went live for the first time.
- My daily-focus routine now has to report what actually shipped the day before, not just what was planned. Plans are easy to publish. Results are the part that keeps you honest.
- Audited a year of vendor spending against the actual billing records, and cancelled a subscription that wasn’t earning its keep.
2026-08-22: Summit footage on a short Saturday
- Morning coffee and a review pass through the Shareholder Summit videos.
- The last Summit gift bags still need to go out — not promising today, but it stays on the list until it’s done.
- Joining Peretz for an afternoon SF party.
- Short work window by design. It’s a Saturday.
Yesterday:
- Pulled my military records and found something I never knew: I have an honorable discharge from the Reserves, dated 2003. Twenty-three years and nobody ever told me.
- Pointed an agent at a stack of healthcare enrollment forms and had it fill them out end to end. It worked.
- Fixed a bug that was making my agents’ log entries invisible. They were writing into a comment block, so the entry rendered as nothing and the write reported success every time. Two had already vanished before anyone checked.
2026-08-21: Paperwork, contest rules, and gift bags
- Chasing down a real enrollment deadline on some health insurance paperwork
- Reading the rules on a prototype contest before anyone commits to building
- Sending out the extra Shareholder Summit gift bags
- Gym in the morning, kids in town through the weekend
